People seek psychotherapy for variety of reasons; some enter therapy to better understand and work through a specific issue or life circumstance, while others look to therapy as a way to explore a more generalized sense of unhappiness or dissatisfaction. It is not unusual to have a sense that something is missing or not quite right in our lives, but sometimes it can be a struggle to pin-point what it is that is causing the distress (let alone figure out how to make it better).

All relationships face challenges and difficulties, though it is not always clear to us as to how we are supposed to navigate through them. Given that conflict is bound to happen, developing the skills and ability to negotiate difference is critical for a healthy relationship. My role as a couples therapist is to support both partners in feeling heard, understood, trusted, and respected in their relationship. Indeed, there is no one model for a “perfect” relationship style, however I can help you and your partner(s) discover what works best for your own relationship.
